Google wants to use Pixel Watch 3 to detect hypertension
Google is kicking off a new study to see if the Pixel Watch 3 can help spot early signs of high blood pressure.
Up to 10,000 people will wear the watch for six months, with the aim of making heart health monitoring easier and more proactive.
If you're in the US, at least 22 years old, and up for answering a quick questionnaire in English, you could join in.
Participants might get a blood pressure cuff and gift card
The study was first spotted in September 2025 and is now open for sign-ups—but only if you have a Pixel Watch 3 (sorry, earlier models aren't included).
Select participants might be sent a one-day blood pressure cuff and even receive a $25 gift card as thanks.
Google says tracking data may slightly affect battery life.
This project is part of Google's bigger push into wearable health tech—like its new "Unusual Trend Detection" alerts and Fitbit Personal Health Coach—to help users stay on top of their health with smart insights.
