IAF, IIT Madras and IITM Pravartak sign aircraft communications pact
Technology
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is partnering with IIT Madras and IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation to build a made-in-India digital communication system for aircraft.
The deal was signed by top officials from both sides, aiming to bring cutting-edge technology straight from Indian labs into the skies.
IAF project improves efficiency and self-reliance
This project will help the IAF communicate more smoothly by developing advanced algorithms, making its operations more efficient.
By going local instead of relying on imports, it supports India's push for self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat) and is a big step toward homegrown innovation in defense technology.
