ISRO updates on Shubhanshu Shukla's space mission
Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla's journey to the International Space Station with Axiom-4 has been pushed to June 19, 2025. The delay comes after a liquid oxygen leak in SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket and a pressure anomaly in the ISS's Zvezda module. NASA and SpaceX say they're taking extra care to make sure everything is safe before liftoff.
Veteran astronaut Peggy Whitson leads the mission
The mission will be led by veteran astronaut Peggy Whitson, with Shukla as pilot. Joining them are Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary—big news for these countries as they return to human spaceflight. The team will ride aboard SpaceX's latest Crew Dragon spacecraft.
