JioStar launches AI-powered content production platform 'JAMS'

Reliance's media and entertainment division, JioStar, has launched the JioStar GenAI Media Studio (JAMS). The cutting-edge platform is an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered pipeline for content production in India. It simplifies the entire process of creating, editing and sharing content across various formats. The launch was announced by Akash Ambani at Reliance Industries' 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday.

JAMS is more than just a content production tool; it's a platform that combines AI with storytelling. It enables creators to take their ideas from concept to final production, across different languages and formats. The platform also offers features like AI Snapshot for quick recaps and in-show shopping tools, making it an all-in-one solution for content creators.
Financial success
JioStar's financial performance in FY25
In its first year after the merger, JioStar posted an impressive ₹34,917 crore in revenue. The company also claimed a whopping 34.7% share of TV viewership with 389 million daily viewers. Its streaming app, JioHotstar, has also been a major success with 451 million monthly users and a record 72.5 million concurrent viewers during India's T20 World Cup victory.

JioHotstar has set several global streaming records, including being the first Indian paid OTT platform to cross one billion downloads. The app is now available on 99% of connected TVs in India. Its micro-content hub, Tadka, launched in April, has already crossed over 100 million users within two months of its launch.
