LG trials revolutionary eLEAP OLED technology

LG Display is trying out a new way to make OLED screens—called eLEAP—at its Paju site in South Korea. This is the first time they're using it on big TV panels.
The goal? Brighter displays that use less power and don't get those annoying burn-in marks.
eLEAP started out in 2022 for smaller gadgets like smartphones, and even Samsung Display is giving it a go.

TL;DR

eLEAP could make high-end OLED TVs more affordable

eLEAP stands for "environment positive Lithography with maskless deposition."
Instead of the old fine metal mask method, it uses a lithography process to let each pixel shine brighter without needing extra energy.
That means TVs could look better and last longer, while also being cheaper to make.
If all goes well, this could make high-end OLED TVs more affordable for everyone down the line.
