    Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, homegrown Micromax has launched its budget-range Micromax iOne in India today. The smartphone comes with entry-level specs including a notched display, HD screen, single cameras on both sides, and runs Android Pie out-of-the-box. In India, it comes at a pocket friendly price of Rs. 4,999. Here is our roundup.

    Micromax iOne: At a glance

    The Micromax iOne comes with a polycarbonate body and offers a notched display with prominent bezels at the bottom. The phone features a 5.45-inch HD display with a resolution of 1132 x 540 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Further, it is available in two colors- Black and Blue.

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    In terms of optics, Micromax iOne houses a 5MP (f/2.2) camera with LED flash. Up front, the display notch houses a 5MP (f/2.2) lens for selfies. Moreover, the company claims the camera offers more than 9 advanced photography features such as time-lapse, night mode, slow motion, and real-time bokeh.

    Under the hood

    Coming to the performance, the Micromax iOne is powered by a Unisoc SC9863 chipset, paired with IMG8322 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable upto 128GB). To keep it alive, the phone packs a 2,200mAh battery. Lastly, it offers all standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, and a micro-USB port.

    The Micromax iOne has been priced at Rs. 4,999 in India and is available for purchase at all major stores. At this price, the phone will take on the likes of Redmi 6A and Realme C2 in the country.
