Microsoft expands Xbox full screen experience to more handhelds
Technology
Microsoft just made gaming on Windows handhelds a lot smoother by bringing the Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE) to devices like the Lenovo Legion Go and AYANEO.
Previously only on Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, FSE now lets more gamers enjoy a console-like interface across Windows 11 handhelds, all starting November 21, 2025.
All your games, 1 launcher—plus better performance
With FSE, you can launch games from Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store in one place—no more jumping between apps.
This update also frees up about 2GB of RAM for gaming and includes handy features like a task switcher and quick access to system stats or gameplay capture.
Plus, since FSE uses fewer resources than regular Windows mode, you might notice smoother play and longer battery life.
