Mistral unveils reasoning AI models, Magistral
AI company Mistral just rolled out Magistral, its first set of models built to handle tricky reasoning tasks. There are two versions: the Small one is open-source (free to use and tweak), while the Medium version is made for businesses and will soon be on Amazon SageMaker.

Magistral can break down complex problems step by step—and it works in both English and French. The Small model packs 24 billion parameters, while the Medium's size is still a mystery. On major benchmarks, they scored impressively high, showing they're ready for real-world challenges like finance or healthcare.
