Motorola launches new Moto G and G Play (2026 edition)
Motorola has announced its latest budget-friendly phones—the Moto G and Moto G Play.
Both run Android 16, come with Gemini AI tools, and support 5G, so you get modern features without a hefty price tag.
Both phones have MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip
The Moto G sports a 6.7-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip.
You get 4GB RAM, expandable with RAM Boost (virtual memory) up to 12GB total, 128GB storage (plus microSD support), and a sharp 50MP main camera.
There are dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an IP52 rating for splash protection.
The Moto G Play is similar but has a 6.7-inch adaptive display, a 32MP front camera with an effective resolution of 8MP due to Quad Pixel technology, and the same chipset and RAM setup.
What about pricing and availability?
At $200 for the Moto G or $170 for the Play model, both phones offer solid value—AI-powered cameras, high-refresh screens, long battery life, and reliable performance on a budget.
If you want affordable 5G with some smart extras, these are worth checking out.
