Musk warns ChatGPT could be dangerous for kids, suicidal people
Elon Musk is urging people to keep ChatGPT out of the hands of children and those struggling with mental health.
His warning comes after reports that a Canadian school shooter used ChatGPT to help plan the attack, which left six dead and many injured.
Even though OpenAI's automated review system flagged the user's chats and employees reportedly debated notifying law enforcement, OpenAI said the activity did not meet its criteria for reporting.
Musk has previously criticized OpenAI
Musk also pointed out a reposted claim that ChatGPT had been linked to nine deaths, including teens and adults, with some alleged suicides.
He has long criticized OpenAI for safety issues.
OpenAI has rolled out new teen safety measures
OpenAI said it implemented various policy changes several months ago, but Musk is not convinced they are enough.
He still believes AI chatbots like ChatGPT should be kept away from vulnerable groups to prevent further harm.
