Nothing to launch AI glasses without front display in 2027
Nothing, the company behind its distinctive phones and earbuds, is jumping into AI wearables with smart glasses planned for 2027.
CEO Carl Pei was once unsure about this move, but now sees it as the next step, following where tech trends are headed.
These glasses will pack microphones, speakers, and cameras: just do not expect a screen in front of your eyes.
Nothing glasses use phone and cloud
Instead of cramming everything inside the glasses, Nothing will use your phone and cloud computing to handle all the heavy lifting.
This means they will fit right in with other Nothing products and play nicely with Android's XR ecosystem.
Before they launch, you can still look forward to new phones and earbuds from Nothing coming in the first half of 2027.
The company also is expected to have its signature design style for these glasses to help them stand out against big names like Google and Samsung.
