NVIDIA's GeForce Now sets 100-hour monthly playtime cap

Technology

NVIDIA is putting a 100-hour monthly limit on GeForce Now gaming from January 1, 2026.
This applies to all paid subscribers except Founders members with uninterrupted subscriptions.
NVIDIA says less than 6% of users will hit the new limit.

How the new limits work

Each account gets 100 hours per month, with up to 15 unused hours rolling over.
If you go over, you'll need to buy extra time: $2.99 for 15 more hours on Performance or $5.99 on Ultimate plans.
Once you're out of paid time, you'll be bumped down to free tier rules—think one-hour sessions and ads.

Who's most affected?

Founders members can relax—they keep unlimited play as long as they don't let their subscription lapse.
But if you're a heavy gamer (about four hours daily), expect your yearly costs to jump by around 60% because of add-ons.
That could make GeForce Now pricier than some other platforms for serious players.
