OPPO's camera-centric A5 2020 becomes cheaper: Details here

OPPO A5 2020, the camera-centric handset which recently went official in India, has now become more affordable. Notably, the smartphone has received a permanent price cut of Rs. 500 on its entry-level 3GB RAM variant. The key highlights of the phone include its waterdrop notched display, gradient design, quad rear cameras, and mid-level internals. Here's more.
With the latest price revision, the entry-level 3GB/64GB model of the OPPO A5 2020 will now cost Rs. 11,990 (launch price: Rs. 12,490). The new prices are now reflecting on Amazon as well as OPPO's official website. The price cut is applicable only on the entry-level variant, and the 4GB/64GB model will continue to sell at its previous price of Rs. 13,990.
As far as its specifications are concerned, the phone sports a waterdrop notched design with noticeable bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the gradient finished panel houses four cameras and a fingerprint scanner. It comes with a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ (720x1600 pixels) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. It also houses dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The quad camera unit on the A5 2020 comprises a 12MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/1.4) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) monochrome sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, there is an 8MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper. Moreover, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the selfie camera can record 1080p video recording at 30fps.
The OPPO A5 2020 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor, coupled with upto 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The handset runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 and packs a 5,000mAh battery which promises 11-hours of video playback on a single charge. The phone also offers all the latest connectivity options including dual-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C port, and headphone jack.
