Pratyush Kumar grants lifetime TTS access to Raghunath AS

After 70-year-old oral cancer survivor Raghunath AS asked for affordable text-to-speech (TTS) tech on social media, Sarvam AI's CEO Pratyush Kumar stepped up and granted him lifetime access to Sarvam AI's models.
Kumar said cost shouldn't hold anyone back from using empowering tech and promised to boost Sarvam AI's accessibility efforts.
Raghunath urges cheaper Sarvam AI plans
Raghunath pointed out that TTS isn't just nice-to-have: it's essential for India, which has an estimated 1.99 million people with speech disabilities.
While Sarvam AI's Bulbul V3 system supports 11 Indian languages and starts at ₹20 for 10,000 characters, Raghunath urged the company to introduce even more budget-friendly plans so disabled users can communicate independently.
