Qualcomm's new chip makes smart glasses smarter

Technology

Qualcomm just dropped its Snapdragon AR1+ Gen 1 chip, made especially for smart glasses.
It handles AI tasks right on the glasses, so you won't need to rely much on your phone or the cloud.
Plus, it's 26% smaller and uses less power than before—think sleeker frames and longer battery life.

Snapdragon AR1+ Gen 1 handles visuals and audio

You get crisp visuals (1280x1280 pixels per eye at 60Hz), dual 12MP photo support, and smooth HDR video.
Voice commands should sound clear too, thanks to up to eight built-in mics that cut out background noise.

Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 onboard

With Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 onboard, these glasses can easily sync with your phone or watch for streaming and notifications without draining your battery.
Qualcomm is teaming up with Lenskart to bring these to India, plus they're working with Samsung on mixed reality projects—so AR experiences are about to get a lot more interesting.
