Space Minister Jitendra Singh: HLVM3 tests complete, India's Gaganyaan advances
Technology
India's Gaganyaan mission is moving ahead, with big milestones checked off, like HLVM3 has completed the development and ground testing of all propulsion stages and structures, and new facilities ready for crew training and control.
Space Minister Jitendra Singh shared that key systems for the spacecraft are set, putting India closer to sending humans into space.
Gaganyaan safety checks, Vyommitra flight planned
Crew safety is a top priority: every motor in the escape system has been built and tested, plus special missions have made sure landing tech works.
First up is an uncrewed flight with Vyommitra (a half-humanoid robot) in late 2026, followed by two additional uncrewed missions targeted by 2027 before India's maiden human orbital mission.
