SpaceX launches 29 Starlink satellites from Florida, B1078's 30th return
Technology
SpaceX just sent 29 new Starlink satellites into orbit from Florida after a short delay.
The Falcon 9 rocket's first stage (designated B1078) landed smoothly on the drone ship "A Shortfall of Gravitas" only 8.5 minutes later, marking its impressive 30th successful trip and return.
SpaceX nears 11,000 Starlink satellites
This mission pushes the Starlink network to nearly 11,000 working satellites in space, according to astronomer and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell.
It was also SpaceX's 98th Falcon 9 launch this year, 75 of those for Starlink alone.
On top of that, they've managed a Falcon Heavy launch and two test flights of its Starship megarocket in their ongoing quest to make space travel reusable and routine.
