Spotify rolls out beta AI tool to create private podcasts
Spotify just rolled out a beta feature where you can make your own personal podcasts using AI.
With tools like OpenAI's Codex and Anthropic's Claude Code, you simply give the system a prompt, like "Build me an audio session that dives deep into the history of the World Cup with details about key players, where it's been held, and what I should know about the games this year," and it generates a custom podcast for you.
Everything gets saved privately in your Spotify library, so it's all for your ears only.
Set up on GitHub with Spotify
To get started, head to the tool's GitHub page and log in with your Spotify account.
After setup, you can ask the AI for anything from study guides to daily recaps (Spotify says there's growing demand for this kind of personalized audio).
These podcasts stay private, making them perfect for anyone who wants content that fits their life without sharing it with the world.
