Threads integrates Fediverse content into social feeds
Threads just dropped a feature that lets you see posts from the fediverse, including Mastodon and Flipboard, right inside the app.
If you turn on fediverse sharing, you'll find a special feed for these posts in your Following section—making it easier to keep up with what's happening across platforms.
What's new?
To keep things simple and avoid any confusion or impersonation, fediverse posts show up in their own feed in reverse order (newest first).
Threads also added a search tool so you can find users from other servers directly in the app—a big plus for anyone who's struggled to track down friends on Mastodon.
Just a heads-up: if you want to fully interact with ActivityPub content, there's a separate opt-in process so your main Threads feed stays distinct.
