Trezor confirms Brevo breach sent 347,000 phishing emails to customers
Trezor, the popular cryptocurrency wallet maker, just confirmed a phishing campaign that sent around 347,000 emails to Trezor customers.
Hackers broke into their email service provider, Brevo, and sent fake emails pretending to be Trezor.
These messages contained a malicious link that led victims to an app requesting their wallet backup password, putting their cryptocurrency at serious risk.
ShipMonk breach exposed over 81,000 customers
This isn't the first time Trezor users have been targeted; back in August, a breach at shipping partner ShipMonk exposed information for at least 81,000 customers.
After both incidents, Trezor reassured everyone that wallets themselves are safe, but urged users to stay alert for more scams.
The company says it is reviewing its partners to boost security and keep customer data protected going forward.
