WhatsApp to bring back message animations on iOS

WhatsApp is bringing back message animations on iOS, according to WABetaInfo. The feature was previously removed from the app in an earlier update, leaving messages to appear without any effect. Now, with the latest beta version 26.24.10.70 available on TestFlight, WhatsApp is reintroducing these animations but with a new style and dedicated setting for users to customize their experience.

How new animation works
The new animation for message bubbles is different from the previous one. Instead of "simply popping into place," the message bubble now "fades in while slightly scaling up as it settles into the conversation with the new animation." This subtle change adds a touch of dynamism to text exchanges, enhancing user interaction on WhatsApp.
Testing phase
Availability yet to be confirmed
As with most features rolled out via WhatsApp's TestFlight beta, message animations are only available to a small number of testers at this stage. The feature has already been introduced in the Android beta version of the app. However, there is no word on when it will be publicly available for all users.
