YouTube mobile app redesign moves subscriptions, spotlights Shorts and create
YouTube just rolled out a big redesign for its mobile app on iOS and Android, making Shorts and content creation the stars of the show.
The classic Subscriptions tab is gone. Now you'll see Home, Shorts, Create, and Profile at the bottom.
If you're looking for your subscriptions, they've moved to a hidden "Subs" menu you can find by swiping down on the home page.
YouTube unveils custom feeds, home shortcuts
Shorts now take up most of your home screen, but if that's not your vibe, there's an option to see fewer of them.
The top bar also gives quick access to Music, Live, Movies and TV, and Gaming.
Plus, YouTube has announced custom feeds: free users can make three personalized feeds (premium members get eight), letting you shape what pops up using natural language prompts, though availability might depend on where you live.
