Najmul Hossain Shanto missed out on hitting twin hundreds in the first Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Having made 101 in his first outing, the Bangladesh skipper was dismissed for 87 on the final day. Nevertheless, his brilliance extended the home team's lead past 250 runs.
