Major changes

The two most exciting changes in this update

The update is bringing two fascinating changes to the fan-favorite Battle Royale. The first is the addition of dynamite which was confirmed in the news section of Fortnite. Epic also teased something wild on the official Twitter account and fans have determined it signals the arrival of the Wild West Limited Time Mode. It will supposedly feature the dynamite weapon to a large extent.

Dynamite

The new explosive addition in Battle Royale

The all-new explosive weapon has been described to be power packed. We hope it does not deal really heavy damage, ruining balanced gameplay. Anyhow, Epic officially introduced the weapon saying, 'Light the fuse and wait for the boom'. Notably, the dynamite could also act as a trap as players leave it behind closed doors, timing it to blow when opponents try rushing and looting.

Wild West

Gunslingers are coming to town

The Wild West LTM promises to be the most challenging yet, as data leaks suggest it will only include shotguns and hunting rifles along with dynamite. The mode will test players' skills and aim accuracy as they cannot resort to the spray and pray technique available for SMGs and assault rifles. We suggest planning ambushes and close quarter engagements to emerge victors in firefights.

Personal

Escalating the conflict with Red Dead Redemption 2

Some members have been fuming after fans voted Fortnite as the Best Game of the Year at Golden Joystick awards, despite critics favoring Red Dead Redemption 2. Epic's inclusion of a wild west gameplay might be a deliberate jibe to Rockstar's game, thus escalating rivalry.
