Alcaraz claimed a 6-7 (2), 7-5, 6-3 win to remain unbeaten (2-0) in the Jimmy Connors Group. The Spaniard, who is now 5-1 against Fritz, continues his bid for a maiden ATP Finals title. According to Opta, Alcaraz became the third-fastest man to 50 Top 10 wins.

As mentioned, Alcaraz is now the fastest player to record 50 wins over the top 10 opponents. He reached the landmark in his 73rd encounter. Since the ATP Rankings were published in 1973, only legends Jimmy Connors and Boris Becker have won 50 Top 10 matches in fewer matches, according to Opta. Connors and Becker attained the feat in 69 and 71 matches, respectively.
