Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal went for plenty of runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season on Thursday. Chahal, who is the highest wicket-taker in IPL history, conceded 62 runs from his four overs. He failed to take a wicket. This is now his costliest spell in the competition. SRH managed 201/3 in 20 overs.

Chahal gave away only seven runs in his first over. He was smashed for a four by Travis Head, who attacked him in the former's second over, clobbering 18 runs. Notably, Chahal has conceded 50-plus runs in an IPL innings for the fifth time in his career (also 2/51 versus MI (2015), 0/50 versus KKR (2014) and 1/50 versus PBKS (2023).
