India beat England in 3rd T20I: Here're the records broken

India overcame England in the third T20I to win the series 2-1 and provide their dominance ahead of ODI and Tests. In pursuit of 199 runs, India chased down the target with 8 balls to spare. Rohit Sharma scored a defiant unbeaten ton as Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya chipped in to secure a seven-wicket win for India. Here are the records broken.

Chasing 199 is never an easy task, but Rohit Sharma showed once again, why he is the best in business. Rohit remained unbeaten on 100 off just 56 balls. He smashed 11 fours and 5 sixes. This was Rohit's third T20I ton as he equaled New Zealand batsman Colin Munro. The duo now share the record for maximum tons in T20Is.

All-round batting display by India in 3rd T20I

It was an all round performance by India. MS Dhoni picked 5 catches and played a hand in a run-out as well. Further, Hardik Pandya came to the billing after picking 4/38 in his 4-over spell, before smashing a whirlwind 33* off just 14 balls. He hit the winning runs with a six. Rohit's century completed destroyed the morale of Englishmen.

    Rohit amasses plethora of records

Rohit Sharma became the fifth batsman and the second Indian to get past 2,000 runs in T20Is. Kohli had achieved the mark in the 1st game and now it was Rohit. Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum and Shoaib Malik are the others. This was Rohit's 5th century in T20 cricket across all competitions, which in turn is the most by any Asian batsman.

    Stat attack: India in T20Is

This was India's 8th win in a T20I series that featured three matches. The winning streak for India had stared in 2016. The series win was also India's 6th successive one.
