    Australia beat India in fourth ODI: Here're the records broken

    Australia overcame India in the fourth ODI to tie the five-match series 2-2. Batting first, India amassed a challenging total of 358/9. Shikhar Dhawan scored a stroke-filled 143. He was well supported by Rohit Sharma. In reply, Australia scripted their chase perfectly. Peter Handscomb slammed a ton to lay the foundation as Ashton Turner ripped apart the Indian bowlers at the death. Here's more.

    Dhawan eclipses Sehwag's record

    Shikhar Dhawan amassed his 16th career ODI century. The southpaw went past Virender Sehwag (15) in terms of ODI tons. Dhawan's 143-run knock was also his highest ODI score. He smashed 18 fours and three sixes. Dhawan notched his third career ODI hundred against Australia. He now has 846 runs against the Aussies and went past the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly.

    Dhawan and Rohit shine atop for India

    Dhawan and Rohit amassed 193 runs for the opening wicket. This was their highest opening stand against Australia. It was also their 15th century-plus partnership in ODIs. They equalled former West Indian greats Gordon Greenidge/Desmond Haynes and Sri Lankan stars Mahela Jayawardene/Kumar Sangakkara in terms of ODI century-plus partnerships (15). Dhawan and Rohit have 4,571 partnership runs as a pair in ODI cricket.

    Rohit and Dhawan script sixth 150-plus opening stand in ODIs

    It was Rohit and Dhawan's sixth 150-plus opening stand in ODIs. They equalled the likes of South Africa's Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock. Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar hold the record for most 150-plus opening stands (10).

    Rohit goes past Dhoni, Amla in separate records

    Rohit eclipsed MS Dhoni's 217 sixes for India in ODI cricket. The senior cricketer, who hit two sixes in his 95-run knock, now has 218 maximums in ODIs. He also amassed his 40th fifty in ODIs and his sixth against the Aussies. Rohit now has 1,924 runs against Australia in ODis. Rohit now has 7,954 in ODIs as he went past Amla (7,910 runs).

    Cummins notches best career ODI figures

    Pat Cummins (5/70) notched his best figures in ODI cricket. Cummins also scripted the fifth best ODI bowling figures by an Australian in India. He now has 77 ODI wickets to his name. Cummins went past former Aussie great Allan Border (73 wickets). Adam Zampa (1/57) now has 50 career ODI wickets to his name.

    Finch registers 10th career ODI duck and other stats

    Aaron Finch (0) notched his 10th career ODI duck. He equalled former Aussie cricketers Damien Martyn and Michael Clarke (both 10). It was also his second against India. Bhuvneshwar Kumar now has 115 ODI wickets for India. He equalled Ishant Sharma. The last time Virat Kohli got out for single digit score in ODIs was against Australia in 2017.

    Khawaja, Handscomb impress for Australia

    Usman Khawaja and Peter Handscomb shared a 192-run stand for the third wicket. Khawaja (91) scored his seventh career ODI fifty. He needs 134 runs more to get past 1,000-run mark in ODI cricket (866). Handscomb (117) amassed his maiden ODI ton.

    Chahal had a bad day against Aussies

    Yuzvendra Chahal conceded 80 runs today from his quota of 10 overs which is the most by an Indian spinner against Australia in an ODI match. The previous most was 78 by Amit Mishra at Nagpur in 2013. #INDvAUS
