His 45-ball 89, which included five fours and eight sixes, helped India post an imposing total. The team later won the match by a whopping 96 runs.

Samson now owns the joint-second-highest individual T20 WC score versus NZ. He shares the spot with former all-rounder Justin Kemp, who starred in South Africa's six-wicket win over the Black Caps in the 2007 T20 WC game in Durban. The dasher arrived at number four after SA lost two early wickets. Kemp paced his knock to perfection and slammed an unbeaten 89 off 56 balls. He smoked six boundaries and as many sixes as SA accomplished the 154-run target.

Yuvraj Samra - 110 in Chennai, 2026
Canada's Yuvraj Samra tops this list, having scored 110 off 65 balls in the group stage of the 2026 event in Chennai. The 19-year-old became the first player from an Associate nation to score a T20 WC century. Samra dominated a 116-run opening stand with skipper Dilpreet Bajwa (36). His century, which was laced with 11 fours and six sixes, helped Canada post a total of 173/4 in their allotted overs. The Kiwis, however, later chased down the total.
