The Indian cricket team is all set to take on South Africa in the upcoming third Test match at Ranchi from Saturday onwards.
India have already sealed the Test series and lead 2-0.
Virat Kohli's men will be eyeing a clean sweep over the Proteas and maintain a 100% record.
However, Kohli is in fray to script this feat.
Kohli smashed 254* to regain lost ground
Earlier, Kohli was the number one batsman in the ICC Test Rankings for Batsmen.
Australian superstar Steve Smith claimed the spot after a defining Ashes 2019 series.
Smith scored 774 runs against England to boss the show.
However, Kohli regained lost ground in the second Test match against the Proteas with a record-breaking 254*.

After the match, Kohli said he enjoys scoring runs.
"I'm just happy to be where I am. Putting the team in a commanding position is the only thing I strive for," Kohli said.
"Of course I enjoy scoring runs, but if they come in a winning cause, nothing like it."
Kohli needs two rating points to surpass Smith
Kohli will be eyeing to score more runs in the third Test against South Africa. He has 936 rating points at the moment and is a solitary point away from leader Smith, who sits at the top (937). Kohli could get past Smith next.

Kohli is likely to get past Smith soon. The next assignment for Team India is the two-match Test series against Bangladesh next month.
That's when the Indian skipper can gain more prominence in the rankings.
However, Australia will be involved in a two-match Test series against Pakistan at home.
One can expect Smith to defy the visitors and challenge Kohli for the top spot.
