Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been pivotal to Sunrisers Hyderabad's success in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He remains the only player to have taken over 100 wickets for the Orange Army in the league. Bhuvi, who makes merry in the Powerplay, will next feature in the clash against Delhi Capitals in Match 35 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Here are his lesser-known IPL records.

Powerplay

Over 60 wickets in Powerplay

With 173 scalps, Bhuvneshwar has the joint fourth-most wickets in the IPL, with Amit Mishra. As many as 64 of Bhuvneshwar's wickets have come in the Powerplay (first six overs). No other bowler has more than 60 wickets in this regard. Deepak Chahar and Umesh Yadav follow Bhuvneshwar with 57 wickets each. Notably, Bhuvi's economy rate in the Powerplay is also the lowest (6.17).

Most dot balls in IPL 

It is worth noting that Bhuvneshwar has bowled the most number of dot balls in IPL history. He leads the tally with as many as 1,645 dot balls. Sunil Narine and Ravichandran Ashwin are the only other bowlers with over 1,500 dot balls in the IPL. Interestingly, the next-best seamer on this list is India's Umesh Yadav, with 1,252 dot balls.

Bhuvneshwar is among four players to have taken multiple five-wicket hauls in the IPL. Jasprit Bumrah, James Faulkner, and Jaydev Unadkat are the others. Notably, Bhuvi also owns two four-wicket hauls in the league.
