James Faulkner: News

Hailing from Tasmania, Australian cricketer James Faulkner is an allrounder who has a penchant for picking wickets and finishing the game with the bat. Captain of the Tasmanian U-17 squad, Faulkner soon became part of the Australian setup after he was named in the U-19 team for the 2018 U-19 World Cup. He made his first-class debut in the 2008-09 season. He was an integral part of the Tasmanian team that won their second Sheffield Shield in the 2010-11 season with 300 runs and 36 wickets. Faulkner proved his match-winning credibilities again when he was named the player of the match in the 2012-13 Sheffield Shield final that Tasmania won. Following his first-class success, he was handed his international debut in a T20I match against India in 2012. His beginnings as a left-arm leg spinner made it possible for him to mix up his deliveries as a fast bowler. This, in turn, made him a venomous death bowler. His abilities with the bat when the match looks lost also came into play on more than one occasion. Faulkner's best performance for Australia came in the 2015 World Cup final, where he was adjudged player of the match.
