Kyrgios, who stunned Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka earlier, beat American John Isner in a mouth-watering semi-final battle. Kyrgios won the tie 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 to reach the finale. He will meet Alexander Zverev next.

The 23-year-old Australian came into this match after wins over multiple Grand Slam winners Rafa and Stan. This hard-fought win over Isner will give Kyrgios plenty of confidence. The American is 63 places above him in the world rankings at the moment. Kyrgios recorded 25 aces in the match against Isner. He also accounted for one double fault against Isner's six.

"It was an amazing match. I actually was pretty pumped when I got to play him today. I knew there wasn't gonna be much running," Kyrgios said.
A tough battle awaits Kyrgios in the finale
Kyrgios will be Zverev's third Australian opponent of the tournament. The German won a straightforward match in his semi-final against Cameron Norrie. He won 7-6, 6-3 and he hasn't dropped a set yet in the tourney. Meanwhile, Kyrgios and Zverev have met six times. They have enjoyed a 3-3 split result, with Zverev winning twice in 2018.
