Australian batter Matt Renshaw has raced to his maiden half-century in ODI cricket. He played a vital 56-run knock in the third and final match against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Renshaw, who arrived to bat at number four, brilliantly tackled the Indian bowlers in the middle overs and scored runs at a brisk pace. Here are his stats.

Batting first in the game, Australian openers Mitchell Marsh (41) and Travis Head (29) gave a solid start, adding 61 runs in quick time. Renshaw arrived with the scorecard reading 88/2. He added 36 runs with Matthew Short (30) before stitching a 59-run partnership with Alex Carey (24). Renshaw brilliantly rotated the strike as the run rate remained healthy. Washington Sundar eventually trapped him.

Renshaw's 56 off 58 balls was laced with a couple of fours. He has made a bright start to his ODI career, having made 30 and 21* in his first two games. The southpaw has now raced to 107 runs at 53.5. Overall in List A cricket, Renshaw now has 2,901 runs at an average of 41-plus (100s: 7, 50s: 18).

Notably, Renshaw's stellar performance in domestic List-A cricket had earned him an ODI debut at the start of the series. He scored 305 runs at an average of 50 for Queensland last season and impressed for Australia A in July with scores of 80, 106, and 62 against Sri Lanka A. Renshaw has now made a mark in Australian colors as well.
