Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has signed a new five-year deal with 2017-18 Champions League finalists Liverpool.

Notably, the player had moved to Liverpool from Roma only last summer.

Last year, the 26-year-old had joined the Reds for £34 mn and in 2017/18 he enjoyed an extraordinary season.

Salah had an excellent 2017-18 campaign

Manager Jurgen Klopp stated that the deal demonstrated the immense trust both the club and the player have for each other.

Salah was exceptional for the Reds, last season, in the Premier League.

He scored 32 goals and provided 10 assists.

He ended up with 44 goals besides winning Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year and the PFA Player of the Year awards.

    Reds

    Liverpool in a strong position

Liverpool are one of the favorites to win the Premier League title in 2018/19.

They have already signed mid-fielder Fabinho from Monaco besides getting Naby Keita.

Now, with Salah extending his stay, the Reds have a lethal line-up.

Klopp will be eyeing a new goal-keeper next and that could really bolster their chances.

They are also being linked with attacking mid-fielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
