SA's Ottneil Baartman ruled out of Australia ODIs; replacement named

South African pacer Ottneil Baartman has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia due to a left hamstring injury. The incident took place during the first round of red-ball matches this season. Baartman bowled just five overs for the Dolphins and did not bat in their second innings. Notably, the series gets underway on September 24.
Replacement announcement
Duan Jansen replaces Baartman
Left-arm pacer Duan Jansen, who is currently with South Africa's second-string side in Namibia, has been named as Baartman's replacement for the ODI series against Australia.
Jansen was the leading wicket-taker in the Namibia T20I tri-series, which also featured Zimbabwe.
He claimed five wickets in his first two ODIs and has been rested for the third match on Sunday.
His inclusion in South Africa's squad for the three matches against Australia will see him join his brother Marco, who took seven wickets in the same match where Baartman got injured.
Another injury
Rabada ruled out of upcoming ODIs
Baartman's injury isn't the only concern for South Africa's ODI squad.
Kagiso Rabada has already been ruled out of the upcoming ODIs with a hamstring concern.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has not given an estimated recovery time for Rabada, leaving his availability for the three-Test series starting October 9 uncertain.
Pace pack concerns
Ngidi's fitness also under scrutiny
Along with Baartman and Rabada, another member of South Africa's pace attack, Lungi Ngidi, is also under the scanner.
He bowled 16.3 overs for Titans against Dolphins but left the field during Dolphins's second innings.
Although he returned later in the match, his absence from bowling has raised questions about his fitness ahead of the ODI series against Australia.
