What's the story

Vidarbha have clinched the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy with a win over Kerala. Although the final match ended in a draw, Vidarbha were declared champions owing to their bigger first-innings lead. Notably, this is Vidarbha's third Ranji Trophy title. As per the BCCI's April 2023 announced prize money hike for all domestic tournaments, Vidarbha will earn a prize money worth ₹5 crore. Kerala to receive ₹3 crore as runner-up

Kerala, the runners-up of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season, will receive a sum of ₹3 crore. The BCCI had announced a massive hike in prize money for senior domestic tournaments for men and women alike in 2023. Men's prize money has been increased between 60% and 300%, while women's tournaments have seen an increase of over 700%.

Riding on Danish Malewar's 153 and Karun Nair's 86, Vidarbha posted 379. For Kerala, MD Nidheesh and Eden Apple Tom took three wickets each. Aditya Sarwate and Sachin Baby's fifties helped Kerala get to 342. Meanwhile, Darshan Nalkande, Harsh Dubey and Parth Rekhade managed three-fers. Dubey ends season with most wickets

Vidarbha's Harsh Dubey claimed three wickets in the 2nd innings versus Kerala. He bowled 44 overs and took 3/88. The spell saw him end the 2024/25 Ranji season with a record 69 scalps from 10 games.
