Kolkata Knight Riders ace Rinku Singh has entered record books for the three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions. Rinku has now become the most successful outfielder in terms of catches taken for the eastern giants. He surpassed the record of Andre Russell. Rinku attained the mark with two catches against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 6 of the IPL 2026 season at Eden Gardens.

In the 9th over, Rinku took Ishan Kishan's catch off Blessing Muzarabani's bowling. Kishan charged at a freebie and found Rinku at sweeper-cover. In the 10th over, Rinku ran to his left near long-off to complete the catch of Aniket Verma off Anukul Roy's bowling.
