By the time Rishabh Pant made his first-class debut at the age of 18, he had gone through most of the highs and lows a cricketer usually goes through in his entire career. He switched teams from Delhi to Roorkee to Rajasthan and then back to Delhi. All in search of opportunities to showcase his obvious talents. Pant finally came into the limelight in the 2016 U-19 World Cup. His blitzkrieg took India to the final. Although the team fell short, Pant’s emergence as a dashing left-hander who can take the attack to the opposition made up for the final loss. He made his international debut in a T20I against England in 2017. In 2018, he made his Test and ODI debut. Pant’s rise as a batsman is closely related to his rising stock in the IPL. He made his debut in the 2016 season for the Delhi Daredevils. In 2021, he was made captain of the Delhi Capitals. Under his captaincy, the Capitals reached the play-offs of the tournament.
