  • South Africa whitewashed Australia after defeating them in the fifth ODI match at Cape Town.

    Rilee Rossouw scored 122 runs for South Africa after they won the toss and batted first. SA had put a score of 327 runs on the board.

    In reply, David Warner's knock of 173 runs went in vain after the Australian team was bowled out for 296 runs.

  • Ahead of their fifth ODI match, South Africa will look forward to whitewash Australia 5-0 in the series.

    The host team has defeated the number one ODI team in the previous four games.

    Australia have never been whitewashed in an ODI series. Their worst loss came against England when they lost 4-0 in a five match series after the third ODI was abandoned.

    In tests, Sri Lanka whitewashed Australia 3-0 in the Warne-Muralitharan Trophy in July-August 2016.
