#GamingBytes: Do you know PUBG features Mahindra's tractor?
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG is one of the most popular online multiplayer games. It is available on PC, consoles as well as mobiles. Players, all around the world, test their survival and shooting skills in an intense battle royale. However, gamers have noticed a quirky detail in the game. It ties Indian conglomerate Mahindra to the epic game PUBG. Read all about it.
The Indian connection
Players spotted that the tractors, which are part of the general landscape in Erangel map of PUBG, are Mahindra tractors. Upon close inspection, one can make out the Mahindra 265 DI label on the side of the engine cover. However, the inclusion doesn't look intentional. It is more likely that the developers modeled the tractors on this and didn't remove the brand and logo.
Some words never get old
The logo is not the only connection with India. The tractors also have the famous phrases- 'Horn OK Please' and 'Buri Nazar Wale Tera Muh Kala'. The last phrase translates to 'one with an evil eye, your face will turn black'. Players from India will immediately recognize these funny phrases. However, they are clearly visible only on PCs and consoles with high graphics.
Mahindra gets in on the excitement
Fans were so excited about the Mahindra connected that they tagged Anand Mahindra. The chairman of Mahindra group replied saying that he is embarrassed that he doesn't know what PUBG is though he tries to keep up with current affairs. He said he was pleased there was a Mahindra tractor in the game and was curious about what happens to it in the game.
