Virat receives a special gift from Dhoni after Cuttack ODI

After registering a 2-1 win in his first series as a full time ODI captain, Virat Kohli revealed that he received a signed match ball from the former captain and team mate Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In an interview, Kohli said that he received the ball after the victory in the second game at Cuttack, adding that it was a special moment for him.

First series win for Virat as full time ODI captain

India's 2-1 series win against England was a first for the newly-appointed full time captain of Indian ODI team, Virat Kohli. The captain himself performed well in the series, scoring 185 runs at an average of 61.66; scoring a century and a fifty. He also became the first captain to score the quickest 1000 ODI-runs, taking only 17 innings against AB de Villiers's 18.

I got the ball signed from him: Kohli

"MS gave me the match ball in the second game and told me that it was my first series win as captain and it is memorable. It was a special moment for me and I got the ball signed from him as well."

Virat Kohli all praises for youngsters

Virat Kohli said that, "It's been a series of finds, character building and people expressing themselves and not worrying about the number of games they have played." He also praised Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya for stepping up in the third ODI after the senior players were back to pavilion.

First T20 series as full time captain

After a successful test and ODI series against England, Virat Kohli will lead India in T20 series which starts from 26 January. It will be the first series for Kohli after becoming the full time ODI and T20 captain.
