Articles about Kedar Jadhav
Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav started his career as a batsman in the classic mold. He piled on runs in the domestic circuit but to no avail. Then he reinvented himself and became a batsman suitable for the modern-day game of cricket in which the manner of scoring is the least important. When he found out that one-dimensional cricketers are not in demand, he improved his off-spinner to make it a potent wicket-taking delivery and became multidimensional. Born in Pune, Maharashtra, Jadhav made his first-class debut in the 2007-08 season. Aiming for a Test spot, Jadhav kept making runs. In the 2012-13 domestic season, he scored a triple-century, only the second by a Maharashtra batsman. In the 2013-14 Ranjo Trophy season, he took his batsmanship up another notch and became the leading scorer in the tournament. Jadhav made his international debut in 2014 in an ODI against Sri Lanka. His most impressive performance in the Indian colors came against England in a 2017 ODI series. For his exploits in the series, he was awarded player of the series. Although he started as a sporadic player, Jadhav began featuring more consistently in the ODI team since 2017.
