The books and songs Barack Obama most loved in 2017
Which books does Barack Obama, arguably the most loved president of the modern world, read? What kind of music he listens to? Or better, likes? It isn't too difficult to know, thanks to Obama's habit of sharing. Continuing his annual tradition, he took to Facebook on January 1 to "share the books and music that I enjoyed most" in 2017. Read on for more.
Since the former American president had "some extra time on my hands this year to catch up," he has listed 11 books, which includes it all - fiction (Mohsin Hamid's Exit West), memoirs (Cory Taylor's Dying), and non-fiction (Amy Goldstein's Janesville: An American Story). Naomi Alderman's The Power, Ron Chernow's Grant, and James McBride's Five-Carat Soul also feature on the annual list.
To say that Obama has a diverse taste in music would be an understatement. His playlist of 22 songs has everything, from Camila Cabello's Havana to Family Feud by Jay-Z and Chanel by Frank Ocean. Rise Up by Andra Day, Humble by Kendrick Lamar, Blessed by Daniel Caesar, The Joke by Brandi Carlile, and Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled have also made the cut.
