Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the 2022 Baleno hatchback in India on February 23. In the latest development, images of the interior and exterior of the car have surfaced online, courtesy of Autocar. The pictures give us the clearest look at the vehicle yet. The four-wheeler will be offered in four trims, namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been a favorite of buyers since its launch in 2015. The upcoming version of the hatchback is an attempt by the company to increase its appeal. The car will have a wide grille with honeycomb pattern
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will sport a wide grille with an angular honeycomb pattern, swept-back LED headlights with LED DRLs, and a redesigned front bumper. On the sides, it will have ORVMs, chrome door handles, blacked-out B-pillars, and alloy wheels. An integrated spoiler and wrap-around taillights will grace the rear. The hatchback will be 3,990mm long, 1,745mm wide, and shall weigh 1,410kg.

It will come with two gearbox choices
The 2022 Baleno will be powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that will churn out 89hp/113Nm. Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. It will also have an auto engine start/stop function to save fuel.

The hatchback will have 'segment-first' head-up display
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will have a 5-seater cabin with a three-layered dashboard, a multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel, a head-up display, and repositioned AC vents. It will house a 9.0-inch "free-standing" touchscreen infotainment console with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For passengers' safety, the car will have Electronic Stability Program, six airbags, and a 360-degree-view camera.

The official pricing and availability details of the 2022 Baleno will be disclosed by Maruti Suzuki at the February 23 launch event. However, we expect it to carry some premium over the outgoing model, which starts at Rs. 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
