SKODA SLAVIA sedan launched in India at Rs. 10.7 lakh
SKODA has launched the 1.0-liter TSI engine-equipped SLAVIA model in India. It is offered in three trim levels, namely Active, Ambition, and Style. The 1.0 TSI MT models are available in all the trims, while the AT version is limited only to the Ambition and Style models. The car has a sporty design and offers lots of features.
- The SLAVIA has been announced as a part of SKODA's "India 2.0" strategy and it broke cover in December 2021.
- It is the first sedan to be based on the localized MQB A0 IN platform and acts as a replacement for the RAPID model on our shores.
- It takes on rivals such as the Hyundai VERNA, Honda City, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
The SKODA SLAVIA has a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet, a chrome-surrounded butterfly grille, and narrow LED headlamps. It is flanked by ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 16-inch alloy wheels. A shark-fin antenna and wrap-around C-shaped LED taillamps are available on the rear end. Dimensions-wise, it is 4,541mm long and 1,752mm wide. It is offered in five color options.
The SKODA SLAVIA is fueled by a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine that generates 115hp/175Nm and a 1.5-liter TSI petrol motor that makes 150hp/250Nm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
SKODA SLAVIA has a spacious 5-seater cabin, featuring ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, and auto climate control. It packs an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The safety of the passengers is ensured by six airbags, electronic stability control, an electronic differential system, hill-hold control, and a rear-view parking camera.
The manual variants of SKODA SLAVIA 1.0 TSI start at Rs. 10.69 lakh and go up to Rs. 13.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the automatic models fall in the Rs. 13.59-15.39 lakh price-bracket (all prices, ex-showroom). Prices of 1.5 TSI models will be announced on March 3.
