Despite the upcoming reveal, Musk has previously said that production of the Roadster won't begin for another 12 or 18 months.

This news comes after Tesla recently started offering rides in its two-seater Cybercab, which lacks a steering wheel or pedals, in select parts of Austin, Texas.
