Polas, a student of The International School Bengaluru, lived in Whitefield's Palm Meadows and left his apartment around 3:30 am in his father's car. After reaching Prestige Shantiniketan, the apartment complex's security personnel asked him to fill his details in the visitor book. After entering his details, he reportedly used the elevator and went to the 18th floor.
Whitefield Police couldn't record the statement from Polas's parents who were in a state of shock. However, DCP (Whitefield) Abdul Ahad said the police are investigating how Polas reached the apartment complex at that hour and then fell from the building. As of now, it is unclear whether the boy had jumped to his death or was pushed by someone.
A police official stated: "The boy fell around 6am. We don't know what happened between 3.30am and 6am. Why did he go to the terrace at that hour? We're investigating if he was alone on the terrace or his friends were with him."
