Accel, Google AI Futures Fund to invest $1 million in Indian startups
Accel and Google's AI Futures Fund are teaming up to invest up to $1 million in early-stage Indian AI startups.
The funding comes through Accel's Atoms accelerator, which has already backed nine startups like Anko, FinSynth, and Rocket since 2021.
What's on offer for startups?
The new 2026 AI cohort kicks off in February and targets teams building tools for coding, productivity, creativity, or entertainment.
Selected startups get equity funding, $350,000 in Google Cloud credits, and can use credits for Google's offerings, including Gemini AI models and DeepMind.
More than just money: mentorship from Google
Founders also score mentorship from Google's researchers and engineers—helping them tackle the tricky bits of building with AI.
The program aims to tap into India's diversity and scale while supporting sustainable growth for these young companies.
