Boeing is stepping up its 737 game after setbacks
After a rocky start to 2024, Boeing has been working hard to improve safety and quality at its main 737 plant near Seattle.
Thanks to these efforts, the FAA just gave them the green light to build more planes—upping production from 38 to 42 jets a month by October 2025.
Since April, they've slashed out-of-sequence work by 75% and boosted workflow efficiency by 60%, plus tackled over a thousand issues flagged by employees.
What's next for Boeing?
Boeing's not stopping there—they're planning a fourth assembly line in Everett by 2026, aiming for up to 60 jets per month.
The FAA will keep a close eye on things as production ramps up.
Even with progress, Boeing admits they're still working on building better culture and trust after recent troubles—so it's an ongoing journey, not an overnight fix.
